HOW to Submit News for the MWG Website or Newsletter:
Submitting News for Consideration for MWG Blog, Facebook and Twitter:
News should be brief announcements and timely. Think “up-to-the-minute” news broadcasts. Email these announcements to Sarah Whitney at mwg.press@gmail.com.
Information for Press Releases and the Public Website (www.missouriwritersguild.org) should also be sent to Publicity Chair Sarah Whitney at mwg.press@gmail.com.
Please note: We are undergoing many updates to the website and the MWG Members Only site at the present time. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we complete these transitions and updates.
Thank you.

Chapter News: If you are sending information about a conference, workshop, or other gathering, please submit those announcements separately from your general chapter news. You may send a chapter logo with your news. Please type “MWG Chapter News” in the subject line of your email.
Writing-related articles: Submissions must be writing-related and approximately 750 words. No fiction or poetry, please. Your article should be double-spaced and sent as a Microsoft Word attachment only. Please give your article a title. Include a brief bio (50 words or less), your local chapter affiliation (if you belong to a local chapter), and your contact information or blog/website, if you wish. You may also submit a headshot. Please do not send a picture of a book cover. Submission does not guarantee publication. You may wish to review past MWG newsletters on this site and avoid topics that have been recently covered unless you can provide a different spin. Please type “MWG Writing Article” in the subject line of your email.
Conferences and Workshops: You may include a graphic or logo with your news. Please include a website address and/or email address where members can obtain further information. Please do NOT send a registration form for your event. Instead, provide an email address where members can download a registration form for themselves.
